JW’s and Charity Organizations
by longgone ini was wondering if anyone is aware of the jw’s in general being involved financially and/or as volunteers in charity organizations?
i was a born in jw for 56 years and left in 2016. as far as i remember there was never any encouragement to help in the community in any way.
including soup kitchens, tutoring at schools, united way, etc.

Let any if us say we think the end is not imminent and see what happens. I had my doubts in 75 because they are never right.
So far family has not caught on this stuff is on jw.ogre so have not had to sit through it

Contrast ( self,) righteous and good. A CO I think gave a talk on it. I, my dad, brothers never have been righteous but all were and are good.
Complying with Gods standards is not bad; but they really mean .org standards.

There is still a local arrangement. If halls sell it will break that down. The more they produce videos will work to it.
They will still need the local enforcers if the new studio thing gets built.

The funeral talk has the admonition to attend meetings, come back, get baptized ( but first learn the answers to the questions) For everything there is a time and that ain't it. The smug declaring people unqualified for resurrection is cruel. Being DF has way more to do with the elders than justice
I would not call jw.org a community; money grubbing rule makers they be. There is community in a group of friends.

Actually: churches give more support, as do communities.
I see no children, a younger attractive woman. In reality IF the story is even remotely true is an older woman with few prospects for remarriage and children estranged by the loving DF provisions.
Those if us in know how quickly we forget, and even when we don't our own relative poverty imposed by beliefs hampers any efforts.
Do not forget the "alone with someone " phobia. I was questioned about helping an attractive single because my wife did not accompany us on some errands.
